CAI vs. gas mileage??
That eBAY link with the CAI mentioned better gas mileage with the intake. I have heard of general power/performance increases with the intake, but haven't heard this claim before. Anyone here have gas mileage increases or decreases stats that they'de wish to share?? Thanks!

You'll see a slight gain in mileage, especially with an SSEi, but ONLY if you keep your normal driving style that you had before the intake. Most people tend to USE that new-found power, and don't see a mileage gain. If you were to set the cruise on the freeway at 70 for a long trip before and after the intake, you'd probably see a 1mpg improvement.

That kit is made by APC. I bought one and adapted it for my Camaro. It makes a world of difference, and it looks pretty decent. It costs $75, and that is about $125 cheaper than one "made" for the Camaro. The tube is 3" i.d., and the filter uses K&N oil and can be cleaned with the filtercharger kit (had to contact APC on that one)
