The site still lives and yes there is support including Jerry'* note book.
The chip the dhp is based on in no longer available so no new HARWARE, updates and software support is still available.
And yes I have the note book access, its a web site with secret username and password stuff but avaiable to all dhp customers.

That'* what sucks about tuning, takes a lot of patience and gas. I have been messing around for several months and I still don't have my LTFTs exactly where I want them. And now with new mods going on.......start over :? I'll email you that file Paul so at least you'll have something to play with.

I'm running out of patience with this PowrTuner programmer.

Figure 4-4. Programming Complete Screen
In the event that you try to read an unknown PCM, you receive a screen
that asks you for input in order to properly read the PCM. If you know what
type of PCM core you have, select it from the list and then select
Continue. However, if you do not know what type of core it is or it is not
listed in the drop down list, do not continue. If the PCM type is not in the
DHP PowrTuner User’* Guide 1.5 08/21/2005
Page 17 of 137
list, cancel the read operation and then select the PCM Information
command from the PCM Flash menu. Email DHP with the information
retrieved from the PCM Information command and we will notify you if the
PCM is supported, and if so, which year to pick. If you incorrectly guess
the type of PCM, you risk causing damage to the PCM.
In the event that you attempt to read a PCM that you did not purchase
support for, you receive a rejection message (Figure 4-5) stating that you
are not authorized to download the file. If you wish to download this PCM,
you need to purchase the proper year type to do so.
Figure 4-5. Rejection Message Screen
I reinstalled the original PCM and tried a Scan to read it but got that same show stopping error. It gives me a list of makes/models and year but mine is not on that list. :?

Did INTENSE lock the PCM to only run with their HP Tuner software when they reprogrammed it :?:

All I can do now is re-install the other PCM and play with the AFC 1.1 :(

Tried to save a hundred and ended up wasting a few.
What'* that called :?:

Sounds like you need a file to open, the dhp wont read and modify an Intense file.
If you are in the need of a DHP 1.5 File for your car visit the Helpdesk site.

http://digitalhorsepower.corphelp.net

Submit a ticket requesting what file you need.

Please list the following

1) YOUR NAME
2) Vehicle Year / Make / Model
3) VIN (if no vin, no bin)
4) PT Serial Number

This ensures we get you the latest GM Code file for you and the proper binary. NOT all cars of the same year are the same code.

Also if you have a DHP 1.0 Standard unit and its locked, IT WILL NOT BE UNLOCKED. We do not give out or unlock the DHP 1.0 binarys.

Custom units that were done and locked will be taken care of. Just download your PCM, and ZIP the file and submit it to our helpdesk.

You have two choices on this

1) Flash over the PCM
2) Sell it, and in return get a stock PCM to flash over

Once we receive your request for a file, I will process it and if I have the correct binary for you, i will send a ZIPPED file of the 1.5 file. If I do not have one, or there is a newer code by GM to correct any hardcore problems, I will then request to have a new DHP 1.5 file created for you using the latest GM code. If this happens, it will be a delay on getting the file then.

Do you need me to write you a custom file Paul. Maybe a trip to Boise, ID to get that car running for you is needed .

I have received a custom file from DHP but how can I load it if the scanner won't even read my PCM :?: :?

E-mailed the PowrTuner help line and got this response.....

If intense used an older GM code not supported, it will not be able to access it. You can possibly see if intense will update it with the latest GM code, as i've seen this a few times. Not that its bad or anything, but PT database trys to keep to the latest GM code releases.

Guess I'll have to send my PCM in to Intense again for another custom burn. :(

Switch to that spare PCM and upload the file that way. Should be all you need. On a side note you can always write over the top of the Intense file, but you will loose it. It is weird that the scanner won't access it. That shouldn't be the problem at all. I was always able to scan and access it, I just couldn't write to it so I think they are just trying to pawn the blam to someone else so they don't have to deal with it. Anyway, just switch to the spare and try it that way and see if that fixes the problem. If not you can send it to me. I have an external adapter to connect to and program the PCM out of the car.

Too late with your response. I mailed my PCM to Intense for the burn on Tuesday. :(

I thought that you had to read first before downloading the bin file that PowrTuner sent me. :?

Thanks anyways for the offer. I will be attacking you at WCBF for info and help and will bring everything with me.

I'll teach you everything I know about it which won't take long. But hopefully we can get that thing rocking and rolling.
