I did the quick struts and would do them again. Super easy to buy, even easier to install. Comments about softer ride, harder ride, sits taller etc. So what. For a backyard mechanic Monroe Quick Struts are a money in the bank solution to worn out OEM struts.

Quick Struts work well and installing them is as easy as eating pancakes!

the kyb shocks or struts will handle more sporty so depends what you want. to me its worth the extra 15 minutes to take the strut apart and use the factory springs. you have to replace the upper mount IMO because its likely as bad as the strut and the top nut but the struts come with it. but it doesnt have to be kyb, any good quality mount should be fine

Let it settle for a few days as the instructions state.then see what you think.our 00 century did the same for about 4 days till the springs took a set.

I put SenSen'* in the front of the Lucerne.. I wanted a cushy ride but it was a "no go".. The SenSen'* are built and designed much like a KYB and thus performs like the KYB'*.. They are nice and tight while soaking up bumps and giving you road feel.. SenSen is a well built strut with Japanese Nock seals.. Very sports like..

did you cut the top or bottom of the strut? how did you seat it in the strut after the cut? I have found a thick minivan spring (02 Windstar), and would like to try cutting them for lowering springs.

how much drop do you get when you cut one coil out?

The SenSen struts look and ride good when new, soon after you get everything lined up, you will start hearing a rattle noise from a 4 corners of the car, esp the rears

it will sound like the strut mount is loose... but it'* actually inside the strut and will drive you crazy... SenSen is aware and the distributor will offer free replacement..no questions asked... but ask for a refund...

if you do a search on SenSen strut rattle, you will get thousands of results across many different cars

I replaced with Monroe.. and learn my lesson on cheap struts.. spend the extra bucks and only do it once....

When new and first installed your car will likely sit higher and ride very stiff. After a few days and a bunch of speed bumps taken at speed my suspension smoothed out and settled down to a proper height.

I did the Monroe Quick Struts and couldn't be happier. Installation was as easy as eating pancakes and zero issues whatsoever. Highly recommend the quick struts as a turn key, high quality and simple replacement of OEM struts.
