They are higher then 5500, more like 5700-5800. The 3100 I had in my cutlass shifted at 5500 religiously. But there is no point in raised shift points due to very little or no power being produced that high w/ a stock engine.

if you don't plan on moding your car any more than I would just keep the stock shiftpoints.
However if your thinking down the road youll get a cam or rockers than I would get the 6000 rpm shiftpoint

the bigest thing I notice with mine is the downshift when you put the hammer down !
no lag at all
