There you go again, crazy man. All that fast talk. We'll do that to my 2003

I've taken my 'before' temps with a fluke thermocouple. I'll be taking the after tomorrow.

I'm doing Josh'* Series1 NA cover right now. Repairing 3 of the 4 clips that were broken, too. His is gonna be pretty wild too. Post that pic of the intercooler, and I'll post pics of his intake cover later this week!

Ok, editing 3 hours later. Here'* the 93SSE cover:

Josh, if you're reading this before school, come get your cover and see how it looks on the beast!

now your giving me ideas for my car. i was thinking about doing it but i didn't know how good it would look on the non supercharged cover. now i am pretty sure that i will do it. you said that you repaird the clips? how did u do that cause on of mine is broken. i just used some good old epoxy glue and that doesn't hold up that well. and what did u use to cut the cover. i might try this cuz it looks soo good. thanks

I used the pieces I cut out for the screen to make new plastic clips. Only half of each of the 3 clips were broken. I just used the opposite side to trace a new side. The back is a different size diameter clip than the front, btw.

Use JB weld. Just glue the new half of the clip that you make to the side of the broken piece, drill a couple holes for the epoxy to go thru for extra measure. Works great. I used a jigsaw to cut the cover, but I used a 3/8" drill bit in the corners first to make the radius.

Whoa whoa.... You have to shave off that "3800 Tuned Port Injection" and we shall put a Angry Duck Tofu Racing sticker bright as day, with the Angry Duck Tofu Racing hot chick next to it. That will be something to look at. Then he wears the ADTR T-Shirt w/ the hot chick on it to school and he will be the man... for that day. =P

I'm pretty sure the original was done with a dremel (for the GP guy.)

My clips are broken on mine as well. So I srayed over to www.gmpartsdirect.com and threw in the part numbers for my covers (1995 SSEi) and here is what I got:

Main Cover:
GM PART # 24502733
CATEGORY: Fuel Injector
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $16.44
OUR PRICE: $9.37
DESCRIPTION: SHIELD -

Snout cover - Lower half:
GM PART # 12110407
CATEGORY: All
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $5.42
OUR PRICE: $3.09
DESCRIPTION: CONNECTOR

Snout cover - Upper half:
GM PART # 12110408
CATEGORY: All
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $7.87
OUR PRICE: $4.49
DESCRIPTION: COVER

That is only $16.95 (+* / h) for all new covers. That'* OEM new, not used. So if anyone is contemplating this mod but doesn't want to ruin their covers, they are easily and cheaply replaced.

Thought you might want to know.
