No it didn't. I guess I should have specified that. I also just checked for resistance between the alternator lead and the positive battery cable and there was no resistance. So would that mean I need a new alternator?

its hard to tell if you dont have a exact meter, you can get them cheap at harbor freight or something. 13.5v at idle is good 12.5 or less is bad

Do you mean you had zero resistance or infinite resistance?......the latter means you have an open....

I meant zero resistance, that the circuit is complete, there is total continuity. And I think I'm just gonna get the alternator tested at Napa today so I can finally know for sure. Btw, thanks for the replies guys!
