Yeah, Ted, that is a good trick. I can see how you might have overlooked it here (this is after all, a VERY long thread), but we talked about the propane method back on page 1!

LOL - When I saw the propane method at another site a couple days ago I knew I had seen it mentioned before. Now I know where I saw it! Too bad it wasn't tried here back in Feb.

Hello bill. I read this thread from beginning to the end cause i was having somewhat similar problems as he did and got alot of good advice from you. I know this thread is years old and maybe you're not even on here anymore but just in case you were I wanted to thank you for him also cause i think he took alot of your advice for granted and him not getting the gauge was pissing me off. So i wanted to personally thank you for the time and effort you put in this thread and many more probably just so you know that your efforts were noted by me and plenty of others I'm sure. Keep up the great work/help. I'm having horrible Idle problems partly because my TPS connector is messed up and needs to be replaced but none in stock so i might solder it on being as though i have to splice the wiring anyway. but even when i do have a good connection on tps it idles horrible and adjusted it to .45 closed throttle and tested it to to 5 volts at full throttle. changed idle control valve, maf is good, vac lines seem good tried ur propane trick. waiting for autozone to open so i can get pvc valve and few other things. I don't have the money for gauge left cause spent it all on other parts but if problem persists that will be the first thing i get. wish there was an easy way to test lower intake gaskets. Once again thanks for your help. You don't have to reply to this being as though all my questions were answered by you to jay. Just wanted to let you know that you were appeciated
