A little Elmer'* and a tube of clear silicone can do wonders! I should get the memory upgrade in a day or so. I'll check out the inside then. Looks like they cleaned it up pretty good before it was put up for Auction.(Ebay). Has anyone tried the SpeedswitchXP program from the fan control website? I installed it last night. It allows you to throttle the cpu to max. It works and so far I haven't seen a downside. I'm guessing it probably wouldn't matter on a current system but since this laptop is vintage 2001 every little bit of tweaking seems to be a big help.
