Default What do you use for internet browser?

I use IE right now. Very slow, very sluggish. Doesn't auto fill user names and passwords in forums. But pretty safe from pop ups and other crap out there.

I did use google chrome for a while, but then it got a bug and it gave my laptop problems. So I switched back to IE.

So what have you found to be a good browser?

Fast,safe,secure,great add-ons

Lets here what you use and maybe give some pros and cons

Thanks,

Todd

Doest is slow down cpu resources?

I tried FF about 5 years ago and found it to be a major resource kill. Does it still take a long time to load up?

Thanks for your input Dan.

Not really. I have several plugins, so it takes a bit, but not real bad.

In the beginning FF was a resource hog. That was a long time ago. It also had a problem matching IE placeholder code that was the benchmark. So things often looked scrambled and/or out of place, Mozilla has since had a good rep of not afraid to change code as needed. I was an adamant IE user up to like 3 years ago and didnt like the "new" look that came about between !E 5~6. I tried FF at that time and am hooked on it'* speed, features, and it'* stubborn tendency to keep a look that is familiar and works well. If you were a steady FF user, you'd notice the often upgrades of the same version that works well, instead of creating a team to once again to revamp everything from the browser look and feel. New isnt always better. adding features and removing bugs to whatexists is. FF FTW.

One thing I dont like is the little box that comes up and asks you if you want to bookmark the site your on when you close the browswer The tools menu and dialogue are easy to navigate and setup your preferences.

Start looking at the plugins. I added forcastfox, and love it. Has the weather on the bottom bar, current, tomorrow, and next day, a button for radar, and best of all, when bar weather comes, I get a alert. I love the built in spell check, man I over use that thing. Misspelled word is underlined in red, I right click and I can choose the correct word.
