If you read my original post, you'd know that.

Also, I was just messing around with my */C belt and was debating taking it off. Only problem is my tensioner isn't a 15mm like the main drive, it'* a Torx head. Anybody know which Torx it is? I also can't find a replacement tensioner that has a 15mm head, because if I can I'm gonna swap it.

my short term memory dont go back one page.

torx bit sets are good to have if you have gm'*, they use them on all kinds of things. i got a half inch and 3/8ths drive set from harbor freight and if i use one enough i will replace it with a good one. the one you use for bearings is getting there

Well, I put my new amber roof lighting to good use right away. Ended up on traffic control duty with the Silverado at about 12:30 this morning. Came up on a deer that someone hit and ran. Deer was completely in the other lane, and car shrapnel was all over my lane. Stopped just in time to flash a truck in the other direction before he hit it. Turned out to be a local fire volunteer. He had no cell service, but I have a powered cell booster and I got through. So I called it in, and listened in to dispatch on my 2m radio. We had my amber roof lights and flashers, the volunteer had blues on his truck, we staged across the road from each other to try and warn traffic. Most people were good and slowed down, but some idiots just blasted through..running over bits of car parts in the process
Took them 20 minutes to get the PD off their last stop and out to us. They dispatched the poor deer and we cleaned up the road. At least they were very thankful to us for our help.
I think this will be the 4th time this winter I've stayed with a deer in the road to help the understaffed PD with keeping other people from getting in an accident. So many hit and runs. I'm glad I can help, but at the same time, I hope its good karma and I wont hit one myself.

finished up my remote start, trucks are a ton easier than cars i normally have to take the seat out and lay on my back and head scrunched for hours. the truck all i did was take the covers off and was able to reach kneeling beside it.

Yesterday I went to the local pull your own parts JY. I found a nice 2003 Regal and yanked out the radio and seat cushion. Pulled the car in the garage and did a trans flush, fixed an exhaust leak, replaced the radio, fixed the drivers side a** warmer and replaced my split seat cushion. It was a good day for the old Regal.
I had alot of trouble finding the exhaust leak. It was big enough to make an annoying noise but too same to really feel. I hooked up my new DJ fog machine and shot some fog through the tailpipe. I found the leak at the connection between the rear exhaust manifold and the downpipe. When I pulled it apart I found that the new crush gasket was not crushed at all. Probably due to the cahnge from a stock 2.5" downpipe to a 3". Thick coat of copper RTV sealed it right up.
Thinking about going back to the JY and grabbing the rear seat back from the 2003. 2000 and up came with fold down rear seats, my 99 did not. That should be easy to swap out right??
