Amazon Amazon

from what ive read, its about the best in features/money ratio. im gonna go ahead and pretend i wasn't swayed at all by the fact i can make it match my dash.

its basically the same radio as you guys' except with an updated faceplate from what i can gather.

heres a forum thread on it http://forums.radioreference.com/cb-...ry-review.html

supposed to be here by monday, so ive got lots of time to read what all these abbreviations mean lol.

That'* a nice radio. I prefer the "Classic" face though for some reason.

lol me too. still looking for a stealthy antenna. i really dont wanna put a magnet on my paint. but from what ive read all the windshield ones suck ***. so im having a hell of a time finding something i can use. thinking maybe as a last resort if i cant find one i might make my own and loop it around the roof in the trough/gutter things and under the window seal. but considering the antenna needs a clear plane im not sure how well that would work.

Thats a horrible "cubby" that you see behind my radio. I had to drill into the dash. If I still had the Cobra mount I could have mounted it to the floor which would have been stealthy.

Also, magnet mounts are fine. Just pull them up, wipe the paint and the mount, and move slightly.

This will prevent paint scarring.

that might be an idea. still weighing all my options. one idea i had was to get that cobra (its powered by aa'*... just found that out) and mount it actually in the trough between the window and trunk lid, and put a piece of nitro rc car fuel line, or maybe clear weed wacker fuel line over it so it wont scratch the trunk.

i mean no offense, but the city boy in me is screaming big *** antennas on sedans are dorky lol.

this is why im thinking of sheathing it in fuel line. i think theres enough room in the trough but the lid hasa alot of travel over the window.
