went for a hike today
down to the old clapool tunnel on old us60
brief backround the old us 60 was on of the first large east west highways in the southwest kind of like 66 but less know. the road and tunnel was built in 1927 anf put out of commision in 1952 when they rerouted the road so it was less dangerous. but this small segment still remains between the rockslides and the brush its hard to tell this was road the only sign of it is the chunks of old pavement left

Very cool, and it makes me think of all the different areas all the forum members live in. Where I live, the highest hill is the local landfill, but being in the middle of the great lakes we have water in every direction.
