The tank and straps should be standard.

Scott...are you overfilling the charcoal canister still?
Does the car drip fuel from the front passenger fender when you fill it?
Are you filling the trunk while you are at it?

Mine tries to try to stall and hesitate below half tank (yes, half tank, not half gallon), but I think that'* an entirely different issue

I called my mechanic and asked about the replacement gas tank…he said it is after market…but it is also a 18 gallon tank…as I have filled up that tank about 50 times since it was put in…the most I have ever put in is like 18.3 gallons and that’* empty empty.

Also he did say that the aftermarket tank has no baffling in it like the GM one does..so maybe that’* the gallon difference I don’t know.

But Scott…if you really think that the stations are cornholing you at the pump try this….go buy yourself a 1 gallon gas tank and go fill it up at those gas stations…
If it only takes 1 gallon then it must be your tank…if it takes more than 1 gallon and obviously it’* a gallon gas tank then yeah…they are screwing with the pumps…

4 top-offs. tank wasn't empty completely cause i drove car to all pumps. no stalling on turns or hills...so some gas was still sloshing around in there.

1st 19.38 g Shell
2nd 20.39 g Different Shell
3rd 19.97 g BP
4th 20.24 g Marathon

So, my conclusion is that i am not being ripped off. one of the stations had been inspected by the state weights and measures division on the 10th. i must have a 20 gallon tank. and with the filler neck and a fully empty tank...i could probably stuff 20.5 to 21 gallons in it. go figure. when todd replaced my gas tank...he must have had a 20 gallon tank put in and didn't realize it. in any case, i can drive farther than any of you!!!
OK problem solved..........I talked to my mechanic and between he and I and reciept...it comes down to having a 20 gallon tank installed...not a 18 gallon...

He said that he had thought that our cars came with a 20 gallon tank...so he ordered a 20 gallon aftermarket tank and installed it....sorry for the confusion Scott
