yes it is... its a wgr614 v3

and i only have my laptop and my wifes laptop and my desk top that is not being used at this time..

also how do i get to the channels and choose which one i want..?

You have to log onto the routers um....bios I guess Usually the log on name is admin and the password is password but I am not sure. just have to type the IP address of the router into your web browser like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 etc.

I had a netgear too, changing the chanell fixed my problem too, was getting interference for the mircowave I think. To get into mine you just had to be connected to the network and the type 192.168.1.1, I think the default user and password is admin and 1234, I cant remember for sure though because we bought a new linksys a year or two ago.

Could this be the case where certain wireless home phones can interrupt the signal. Something to do with being a 2.4Ghz signal.
