I'm looking for feedback by anyone that actually owns a HDTV compatable pc tuner.

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1800 MCE Kit. Keep in mind that QAM is clear only so basically all you get is over the air broadcasts.
Reception is ok, I'm in a poor area for antenna but still manage to pull in 3 station with an old uhf off a rabbit ears, which this is the best of the cards I've tried. Stay away from k-world...
I haven't picked up an external antenna yet, I just found out that in my area every one will be keeping their uhf channels for ota dtv so now I just need a good uhf antenna on the roof and I should be golden.

Defiantly look at the Hauppauge products; they are more or less the industry standard.
I am using the WinTV-HVR 1600 MCE PCI.
As stated you will only be able to receive the "clear" channels. (Non-encrypted.)
Encrypted channels will require a box from your cable/satellite provider, they all use different coding.
