Default Sound without Speakers....

http://www.s3isound.com/about/dsp_technology.cfm.

Sound without speakers. I started writing about this in another thread, but thought it'd be better here, since it'* car applications are really stretched...

Small devices, the size of a can of Skoal, creating sound anywhere from 150 to 18k Hz. And they're solid state, so you can put them in hottubs, and on any other solid surface (including tables and glass windows, where they were originally intended for use!)

And the cool thing is they were developed here in Iowa, in part at my college! Gotta have the bragging rights...

Expensive, little buggers, unfortunately. (Whispering Windows = $1800, the others approx. $300/each)

(Yes...Iowa does have computers. I was asked one time by a gal from Florida if we had them, or TV'*, or anything electronic. OF COURSE WE DO!!! We invented the digital computer, right here at Iowa State University, for crying out loud!!! )

We invented the internet at UIUC, so... there :P

Those "speakers" are pretty neat. I thought this was going to be about using the dash board as a speaker, I've heard about those.
