Default Bose Acoustimass 10 Surround Sound Speakers

My question is: how do you make the subwoofer powered? When I purchased these speakers, the sub was not available in the powered version. Since then they are now standard (powered) in the Acoustimass 10 Series. I'm going to assume the answer is no.

The lack of bass bothered me so much when watching an intense movie that I went out and purchase a powered subwoofer, it was like night and day. I have 2 sets of these speakers, in different rooms and don't want to purchase a second powered sub for the other one. Also I just don't have the room or budget to have 2 subs(one powered and one non). I'd even like to eliminate the one powered that I'd purchased.

go to ebay , or crutchfiels site. You really need a mono channel amp to bring out some real bass. Aodio savings is another good site and ebay vendor with good service and prices. i bought a 350 Alpine sub amp for the car for them for $79....

you can buy mono amps for home use too.

there are TONS of models out there. If you want quality for a good price check out Niles stuff.

I could give you some top end stuff but it would be pointless with bose speakers.

I knew it was for the home, and as mentioned both types are made, I was just referencing to show you what deals you can pick up at ebay. For 79 bucks my new alpine must have fallen off a truck
