Ok, I must really agree with Al Gore that there is some serious global warming going on. So far over the past 2 months here in MN the temps have hit the average daytime high a total of maybe 4-5 times. Pretty much 90% of the other days temps have been at least 10* colder than the normal daytime high. Not to mention what seems like 20-25 mph NNW winds every other day.
Heck, check this forecast out (I know it says somewhat normal temps towards the end, but they always look like normal temps 6+ days out, but tomorrow the cold extends one day further).
Normal highs here now should be around 33*. Have seen 30*+ like 3 times hear and I'm getting spring fever!!! Maybe by April we'll be seeing daytime highs in the 20'*.

Hate to say it, but this is a whole can of worms on it'* own. Some say global warming, I say global pattern. Neither can be proven.... at least not to my satisfaction.

I don't think you understand the whole idea of global warming... It doesn't mean the whole globe gets warmer.
global warming can cause polar icecaps to melt, releasing cold water into normally warmer currents, making many places actually COLDER.
There are many other factors too that i dont want to list.

I don't think anyone here said anything about it being solely warmer out...

Global warming is nothing but a theory, and there is ample historical proof that climate change is an ever-active and evolving change system.

Al Gore is a blithering idiot that doesn't practice what he preaches. You should see his utility bills. I have.

Al Gore'* sole purpose for taking on the 'cause' is because he needed an income from lectures. He has proven time and again he doesn't know what he'* talking about, he refers to global warming as a fact when the entire scientific community knows it'* nothing but disputed theory, and he doesn't practice his own preaching.

The internet'* pulicizing of Global Warming has fooled alot of people into thinking it actually is proven and exists. It is NOT proven, and is unknown for whether or not it exists.

While I'm sure us humans are contributing to any warming going on, it'* nothing new. The earth has gone though many warming and cooling periods. The last ice age wasn't that long ago.

If my memory serves me correctly, wasn't the "scientists" warning us of global cooling not that many years ago?

Global warming is just the latest band wagon large corporations and governments have jumped onto in the hopes of making big $$$$$$ off us gulible people.

Who knows, maybe something good will come of it, like maybe some serious development in affordable alternative energy.

Wow, I'm glad someone shares my ideas of the whole global warming thing. If I raise the idea of it in conversation with my family, it'* a sure thing it'll end up in a fist fight Whenever they bring it up, they source one thing and one thing only: An Inconvenient Truth. I poke fun at them sometimes by telling them that doing my chores or homework or something is too "Inconvenient" for me They don't get as much of a kick out of it as I do...

Again, we are equating changes in weather to changes in climate. I believe in the the theory of global warming and humanities acceleration of the heating of our planet. Like Al Gore or not, we are in a period of warmth and we contribute to the warmth.

did you know the they have been able to assertain that over the past 100 years they could figure an 1 degree rise in temps, but in the last 10 years the temp has fallen 1 degree.

This is why GW is still a THEORY. Al Gore'* publicity stunt has altered the perception into TRUTH (hence the title to the documentary). This was a poor (but carefully crafted) title for the work.
