You think that will really make a difference? I would think frequency multiplier would be pretty standard.. unless you think that there may be added support for a "newer" core, etc.

Could you Juice up the voltage if you bump the FSB to 166.....

Doesn't sound like the CPU'* getting the power it should get.

I'm not saying he needs to boot up to get into BIOS.

Your ram may not be good enough to run @ 200 mhz, what did you get? What are your memory settings?

Good point. IIRC he bought some pretty high end RAM when he put the PC together. Andrew, might double check what "DDR" RAM you got... thought it was Corsair DDR400.

EDIT: looking at the BIOS screen shot, the SPD is reporting 400, so no problem there.

The SPD (serial presence device) is used to bascially figure out what your memory is capable of doing, and adjust speed and timing accordingly.

Since your memory is running at 400 Mhz DDR, that would indicate that it should be able to support a 200Mhz front side bus. WJ'' or Bandit, correct me if I am wrong

the way that me and bandit were understanding it was that the 400 number should be double of what the FSB setting is it... 133 being 266.... so if the 400 is just stating the RAM, then any ideas why it wont stay booted at 200?
