Like I said, if this one doesn't work, we need to hurry up and try another one.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Alright folks, Marcia is on her way up to turn in the application for the apartment rihgt now.
Keep it in your thoughts and prayers, please.
It is out of our hands now, literally and figuratively.
No word on the car yet. I passed there last night as they were closing and it was on the lift.
Today I passed thee to get to the bus stop, and it was back on the lot. :?
I'll keep you posted.

Sorry that I haven't been on much at all and missed the posting of this, but I did get in on the action a tidbit, and was happy to do so.
I'll admit that I have been guilty of bragging just a wee bit about BC to those who will listen. It'* just not very often one finds a group of totally disassociated strangers, who only have one small connection via the interweb, willing to do what this club does. I am proud to say I'm a member, even if I am just the left pinkie toe nail.

Okay, well, just talked to the garage.
He said the brakes were worse that we thought.
Said the rear pad came off, and the drum is rusted and needs replaced.
Grand total, with labor is bout $280.00
Now, we have the money, but we only paid $300 for the car.
Kinda frustrating to put that much into it.
At the same time, where are we going to get a decent car for $600?
So frustrating, just when things were looking up.
Either way, thanks to you great folks, the money is there if we decide to fix it.

I needed that.
I know, the parts are definitely not the problem.
My complete lack of mechanical ability, on the other hand........
It'* not really so much the money, but the principal. Marcia really doesn't want to put that kind of money into it.
I don't want to ride the bus anymore.

Not sure. If someone is able and willing, this would be a great option.
Thanks for the thought
I do have a floor jack, jack stands and some tools.
And, if we get the apartment we want, we'll have a garage.
It'* not heated though :?
