No offense, but you need to learn how to work a stopwatch if you're coming up with 6.6 seconds for your car. a 4,000 pound 260 ft-lb of torque car who doesn't even make substantial torque until AFTER 4,000 RPM isn't going to be that fast. All sources show 8.2 seconds as being the 0-60 for an AUTOBAHN aurora 95-99. Yours isn't even autobahn. Lets not even mention that the 2nd generation weighing in more than 200 pounds lighter than the classic are rated at 7.6 seconds. Your mufflers didn't add more than 1-3 horsepower, neither did your K&N filter. Even the 94-99 L67 Bonnevilles weighing in a 3,600-3,700 pounds aren't that fast and they have a helluva lot more power than the 4.0.
play nice now

what is the diff between the autobahn aurora and the regular anyway?
gear ratio. the autobahn is 3.71 gear ratio The non is 3.29 IIRC. I dont' remember exact numbers, it'* a big difference though. I know Steven from another forum and I also know that he thinks he'* faster than even GTP'* and he'* basically stock. I just don't like it when people spread false information.

just so they know that time is still going the same rate it always does, and that the car is really that slow

almost 37 seconds thats amazing! I had a 89 Chevy Celebrity with the 2.8MPFI V6 the body was crap but everything else about the car was in great shape with 116k on it I don't think my Celeb could have taken much more then 10secs to 60. Boy I loved that little car I beat on that thing till the motor gave at 124k then I junked her. ( It still ran but would pump out so much smoke you could not see behind the car.)

LOL Dan you are really funny. You shouldve came to Carlisle -- we couldve had a blast

I did not use a stopwatch for that i used the Passport G-timer. lol. Im telling you it said 6.6 seconds, no joke. I doubt its totally accurate but I am going to go out tomorrow and film it. I set it for the performance mods i did. That probably ruined it though. I added in the muffler, filter etc....Oh well. I like to think it is around a 7 second car anyway.

Edit...i know why it was that quick. I was going on a bit of a downhill. Not too steep, but it was downhill. I just timed it going up a nice little stretch. 8.7 seconds with floor the gas from a stop. Half throttle from a stop then floor produced 8.5.

I have to find a nice road that is level and see again. I will be back with some results and maybe a few vids tomorrow. Have to give it back for now though.

You could always try and do an average of two runs in the same place in opposite directions to negate any hills.

Also i believe Custom iis full of horseshit on that last post. I dont ever remember myself claiming my car to be faster than a GTP. Now if i had a Turbo or something like that then yes i would.

Dan your car may even be faster than my car to 60. But passing the 4.0 will eat you alive bud. I am now kind of agreeing with that Aurora ad you posted before. When was the last time you passed a car starting from 0? Thats a tremendous point there. I will take it.

BTW You remember that 70-110 vid? That wasnt even considered "passing" but it only took 9 seconds. Not too bad IMHO. And it was windy and i had 5 year old underinflated tires also.

I know custom thinks i am an ******* (Not that it matters), but jeez you get so fired up...LOL.

Oh also i took another vid tonight on the same Uphill 0-60. 10 freakin seconds. When you consider how much *** you are hauling though, it makes sense.
