I second the Ford thing.
My brothers Full size 94 bronco has 245K on it. Stock motor and trans. still runs 100%

I say get a F-150 with the 302 or 351 and you'll be happy

87-96 at the best years.

Are you talking full size truck or pickup? 2wd or 4wd? Is a big engine necessary?

Ive heard good things about both the S10/Sonoma whether it be the 2.2 or the 4.3. Ive also heard a great deal of good about the Ford Ranger with the 3.0 V6. I think the 4.0 is decent as well.
Both of these should still get decent gas mileage, and were available in 4wd if you have such a thing as winter. They should haul a lawnmower just fine as well.

I had an S10 brand new back in 94. Absolutely stripped, base model. But I absolutely loved it. Not sure if you wanna go that small, but that was a good truck. I actually plan on getting anohter one some day.

Oh.. small trucks? *-10 then. Especially a 4.3 one, the 4.3 is a freaking monster, and has the power when you need it. Reliable as hell-o too.
