We are in a sue crazy world. No such things as accidents and sorry anymore.
I have no desire to sue, I have issues with taking money I didn't earn. However, I don't want to pay for medical issues I may have later on out of my pocket. I've heard horror stories about back injuries, and the excessive amounts of money people spend, and still don't get them right.

Yes, I should have looked in my mirror before turning, but who really does? I was coming in fast, I don't like to block traffic more than I have to, and the turn was requiring all my attention.

Yes, there are multiple blinkers on the truck/trailers. We passed the DOT inspection with flying colors, and there was a witness who saw my blinker.

Wow glad you're ok, that'* serious stuff. I didn't think it was humanly possible to bust anything on the suspension on those things without a 50 mph start speed.

I've seen the aftermath of an 18 wheeler wreck before, but it was a slow wreck. Funnier thing was when the dust collector at school caught on fire, two huge firetrucks did almost the same thing here. They both went to drive thru the gate that just opened and didn't see eachother. The one truck that pulled into the moving truck ended up with like $8,000 of damage from a 10 mph collision. Ripped the bumper off, cracked the windshield, messed up the whole side of the truck, it was bad. But there were about 400 votech kids laughing their asses off along with the teachers.

Default Seat Belt

Just curious if you told the responding Police Officer / medical personnel you were not wearing your seat belt? If you did tell them this, then if you try to sue the insurance company, you will probably look foolish as the fact that you were not wearing the seat belt probably caused the injuries to your back (flying through the cab).

Just thinking from the insurance companies point of view.

Oh yeah, hi I am new to the forum, this is my first post.
