I'm stepping down.
Thanks for your good work for the Bonneville Club. And thank you for your decision to serve our nation. The freedoms we enjoy every day would not exist were it not for the brave men and women who have answered the call.
And, remember, we are only as far away as your nearest internet connection.
Goodluck and Godspeed.

Straitor,
My warmest, most sincere thanks to you for what you are willing to do for our country and freedom. You won't be forgotten around here. Make sure you pop in and keep in touch. We're your family, and we want to know how things go. I join the rest in saying Godspeed, and you'll be added to my prayer list for sure!

And now a word from the new guy -
Ft Gordon?
Can I go with you? That place is awesome. Delta 366 signal batallion.
Jackson is a little rough, but after those 8 weeks, you will be in the best shape of your life. I went from 210 with 33 inch waist to about 180 with a 28 inch waist.
I was in from 93 to 96.
You will have more confidence in yourself that you have ever known. You will earn respect from your fellow man. You will also be able to deal with life changes better than most. The training you get in the army will benefit you for years to come. While the physical toughness may fade over time, the mental toughness will last a lifetime.
I was kind of bothered when you said you are not satisfied with your life, but yeah, we all feel that way time to time. Where will post-army life take you? hard to say.
I didn't think I would meet my wife of now 10 years and have a (now) 9 year old son and be living 1100 miles from my hometown.
During and after the army, life is going to take you on some adventures you cannot foresee right now. But that is life.
I sent some more stuff in a PM.

Wow, I've been out partying and stuff, But this topic sure balloned fast. Quite unexpected seeing as I haven't actually done anything yet, Just signed up to do it.
I'm still doing the morning workout my buddy in AIT suggested, Awake at 4, A quick 30 pushups and situps, then three miles as quickly as I can. Just turns out to be 12 times around my block.
Haven't tried it with a 50lb sack yet, I like not having a heart attack...
I'm down from two packs of cigarettes a day to three, That'll just about drive you nuts there....
Basically I'm just screwing off so far.

That'* awesome... kinda sounds like the same reason I joined. i need to feel like I'm actually accomplishing something not sitting aorund working at Subway and Eddie Bauer for the rest of my life like my manager at Subway. When I leave Jan. 31st I'll graduate March 17th. My basic is only 6 weeks for the Air Force. Good choice! Keep in touch... I'll try to also.
