Default I'm stepping down.

So, I drank a few nights, and thought about why I wasn't happy with my life. I mean, I've got a bachelor pad, a beautiful girlfreind, An awesome car and even (had) a beater, This is all I thought it would take to make me wake up smiling every morning. (Aside from the obvious )

But Then I thought more about it. It doesn't really matter what I have or what I've done, I'm not happy with myself. I'm kinda flakey, a smoker, and I've got waaay too many irons in the fire. I can't dedicate myself to any one thing for any real length if time. The one thing that annoys me the most is the way I don't jump on my ideas, I sit and wait until they're old news and not nearly as satisfying. So I did something I've been wanting to do for a few months. I joined the ARMY.

I'll get on a plane on Dec. 27th heading to Ft. Jackson, SC for Basic Combat Training, I'll be there until March 13th, When I'll have ten days in which I can fly home or whatever, Then I have to get on a plane to Ft. Gordon, GA for 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. I'm not sure where I'll be stationed, whether or not I'll see an ocean under me or anything really. But I hope for the best and a deep personal change.

My Military Ocupational Specialty will be 25C, which until this year was called 31C.

Major Duties: Radio operator-maintainers supervise, install, operate, and perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and unit level maintenance on assigned amplitude modulation (AM) radios, Enhanced Position Locating and Reporting System (EPLRS) net control stations, radio teletypewriter assemblages, and Army Special Operations communications systems, to include COMSEC devices and associated equipment. Operates manual or automated communications systems. Operates and performs PMCS on assigned vehicles and power generators.

I scattered the Geo'* transmission across the highway yesterday, My mechanic has my Bonneville patched together enough for me to drive for two weeks, then it goes back to his shop. I've found another renter to live here to make the mortgage, Really I've got most everything in order and this is the last thing I need to do.

So, With that I join the ranks again and step down from my position of Moderator.
