Paul is right. Just forget trying to find the perfect girl or any girl right now for that matter. In the mean time put your money towards your car and yourself. I know myself after my last relationship ended on a sour note I didn't want to deal with another girlfriend so I just stepped back and enjoyed my car, family, friends & school more. And today almost a year later I think I found someone worth my time, I wasn't even the one pursueing a relationship.

In all seriousness, if you had that hard of a time asking her out, you shouldn't have in the first place. There is nothing wrong with hanging out as friends (you said you did that already). Do that for a month or two and then do it when you are more comfortable doing it. Its a hell of a lot cheaper too...

I think its dumb to just give up. You need to not make it such a big deal in your life though. When it is supposed to happen it will happen and it won't be difficult at all. If its hard, its not the right time.

Girls at that age are not mature enough. My advice to you is dont sweat it, you are still a young guy. Wait till' they get older, thats when they stop to worry about makeup so much and start growing up.
