The idea behind tax breaks and, tax refunds is that the public will go spend it on commercial businesses/retail, those businesses will generally use it some way. Most econ teachers I had felt it would get used about 3x or so if given back to citizens. It also helps with keeping ppl happy

Yeah, so I was told by my friend who is an CPA, that even though I am in college and make more than 3,000 a year, but because my dad claims me as a dependent, I don't get my money.

Kind of ticked.

I thought i was getting 600 also, but it turned out to be only 300. It won't be going anywhere but to only my bills. So the concept that it will help the econ won't happen.

I actually got the full 600, although it all went to wedding bills. Yes, yes, I know what am I thinking?

I ended up getting 600 and I just paid off my credit card bill.

i ended up getting nothing, as they would rather dry hump you x10 then give you any money back in Canada...
