I haven't gotten mine yet - and I'm not certain that I'm even eligible. I'm 19, made 10k last year, and live with my mom and she filed me as a dependant. Am I eligible? I haven't gotten it when I was supposed to (May 9), so I guess I'll just hold on and wait. She got hers and the one for my little sister. She saw it coming a day in advance (She works at a bank, she has access to some electronic clearinghouse pending payment system).

ok, I checked my account this morning just before I started this thread and it wasn't there.
Just checked again now and it'* there, but only half of what I was supposed to get.... $300. I don't understand why I didn't get the $600 for independent, claiming 1, and having gotten over $1g for my tax return.

Sorry to say, but not only will you not get yours, your mom wont get the money for you. I have the same problem, I dont get it because My parents claimed me as a dependant, and my parents dont get it because I am over 18... Rats...

Well that'* a bit ridiculous. If they were smart, they would still distribute it to dependants of our age group because we're probably the most likely to just go out and blow it on something, which would stimulate the economy, hence the term 'economic stimulus'. I hate the way the gov't works, but then you look at other gov'ts and say wow... we have it good. Ah well... mom wants to give me the $300 from my sister. I may do that because I'm gong to need it when I move out here soon. Otherwise I'd say keep it.

I got mine....$600....
The send out of it was dependent on the last 2 numbers of your social security #. To get the $600 you have to file independently and had to make more than $3,000 but less than $75000.
That'* all I really know about it.

I haven't gotten ours yet either. It'll be $1200...
For those who have gotten less, you won't get 100% of it if you owe ANY debts to the IRS. If you didn't get it all, there'* probably reason (not a good reason, but a reason).
