Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Default Lucky, lucky me.

I have a 1993 ssei, premium sound and all. Today i was driving home along a country road...and on the shoulder i see a large grey box. I pull over, and whaddaya know, its a brand new speaker box pre-cut for 4 6x9s that must have just fallen out of someone'* truck :] I have 2 spare 6 x 9s from an old trick and i need some advice:

Should i move the stock 6 x 9s to the box and have all 4 there, or keep the 2 stock in place and my 2 spares in the back?

How big of an amp should i be looking at? All i have now is some junky 250w dual chan JBC amp from an old camaro...thinking i should get a new one. Any suggestions for an amp? On a relatively loose budget, nothing too expensive though.

thanks in advance :P

I wouldnt amplify the stock speakers. If you do youll have to turn down the gain big time on the amp. Since the factory 6x9'* (at least in my car) are at 10 ohm. Majority of the aftermarket speakers are at a lower ohm than this. Are you talking about the individual 6x9 boxes or something else.
