I only have 10k in student loans. I'm counting them although I don't have to start paying on them yet.

Otherwise I'm running two nearly 20 year old cars and share a duplex with my brother and go to school. Pretty much all of my tuition is paid off from scholarships and grants, but I take out student loans to help pad my bank account when times are rough.

...besides, I've got about $10k in bonds waiting to mature in a year or so which will go towards paying off my debt when I'm out of college, not to mention some farmland and gas wells I've inherited so I'm pretty well set for a while.

I just don't spend more than I have and I do fine
