That to me is a more respectable circumstance than just buying a $40,000 car with a 6.1L V8. My car with: 1:9 rockers, intercooler, headers, FWI, DHP, exaust, and a 2.7" pulley that runs 12.7'* would deserve more respect than a stock 12.7 SRT-8 in my mind.
well definetely, i meant in terms of the casual observer, a stock 400hp car gets more respect than a modded one...

if you had a stock SRT-8 and 8-Ball sittin next to each other...which one would most people drool over more? now most people here would go with the ol 8-bal, but im talkin your average Joe who doesnt know that the stock-looking Bonneville is a pavement ripping machine.
agreed, but i prefer the sleeper image. i always like the look on the other guys face when his body kit was just blown off by a tempo <well, some day hopefully>

You sure love that Tempo, huh? Have you considered a SVT Contour 2.5 Vulcan swap and then get the turbo kid for it? That would be killer in the Tempo.

I guess I must be the average "joe", because I definately prefer the 300C/Charger SRT-8 over the 2k+ Bonneville.

One might EXPECT 425hp out of a 6.1L V8, if that'* your standard, the L36 (because it'* not supercharged...) SHOULD be making about 265hp/261lb-ft at the crank. The blower changes a lot in terms of displacement vs. power.

Including the cost of a new car, how much would it cost to get an SSEi into the 12 second range? $30k for the car... and add quite a bit more for the mods and making the car RELIABLE.

You also get a warranty on the SRT-8. Something that a modded 3800 won't have.

I'll happily push that 6.1L V8 to the rear wheels before I plunk down lotsa money on a 3800 whilst its still FWD, thanks.

My 0.137895146 bar (2psi) of boost.
