I just have to jump in on this one.
I despise anything made by Chrysler (including Dodge, Plymouth, etc.) It says a lot when you see 2-year old Intrepids with blue smoke trails. As someone said, they look okay (depending on who you ask), but their engineering department should be taken out back and shot in the groin, then the knees, then finally the head. My parents have a 96-ish Caravan, and that thing still has multiple accessory belts, a distributor, and a terrible automatic transmission.
Fords seem to suck hard too. My bro-in-law has a Contour that seized without warning at 130k miles. And the 5-speed manual transmission was going too (synchros worn out).
I'd still take a Ford over a Chrysler, but either way I would feel intense shame and loathing.
Jim: Don't do the 300!

I have driven the 3100'* in the malibus and didn't care that much for them... Thw GA 3400 was a good bit better.... More torque and more ponies...
The 3500 is good for 200hp and 220ft lbs... Not too far off from a 3800 II
