If you're running an aftermarket intake with an exposed or even sheilded cone, it'* even more important. A positive pressure of cold air will keep some of the engine-heated air from being able to get in there.

Grand Am GT'* are very quick. But like someone said, it all depends on the driver. Car wise, both have a very good chance of winning. I am not sure but I think the older model gt'* are 3.5 with ram air and the newer model are 3.8 with ram air. The new gt'* have nut, so u have a pretty good chance of winning because u have a 3.8, but again that ram air is a factor, just cross your fingers, and if u get beat, it'* cool.
