Yeah, the pic ads at the bottom didn't bug me THAT much. It'* the blue ads that bugged me. Got an ad blocker, and it'* ok now . So... if a lot of us regulars are going to use ad blockers to avoid having to see the blue printed ads, isn't that losing more money than reverting them back to red?

The pic ads are actually doing very well. The red or blue thing is inconclusive, too soon to tell really. I'm thinking of changing it after another day or two, gotta give it a fair run at least.

I have 2 questions.

1. How much bandwidth per month does BC use on average?

2. How large (in Megabytes) is the SQL Database in which the forum data is located?

The blue ads on top don't bother me in the least. The ads on the bottom don't bother me either.

I have a pop up blocker so that I don't get any pop ups.

A few bad experiences has tought me not to click on ads, so they are wasted on me anyway.

Most of the forums I hang out on are of the free hosting variety, you want ads, you got LOTS of ads everywhere you look. I'm used to ignoring them.

With or without ads, this forum ROCKS.

Could someone explain this to me. The the ads generate money just for appearing? Or do they actually have to be clicked on? If it'* a simple matter of click for money, then what harm would it do for every member just to click one link each day? Open the page, close the page. Not that hard. Am I wrong. And BTW, I never noticed the ads on the bottom because I've never really scrolled down that far

Google has people pay them to have ads distributed. Google distributes ads based on key words found on the pages. When you search for Bonneville on Google, BC comes up. People who pay to have their ads shown under the key word Bonneville have ads appear on sites that come up in those search results.

Google actually strongly opposes telling forum members to click on ads just to support a site. I've seen a forum lose Google ads privileges because people arbitrarily clicked on ads. So, no random clicking.

:? Interesting. They're not even relevant to the site contents.

The new owner is here to make money. He isnt here because he had a passion for bonnevilles like Jeff. The ads on the site now just look trashy. At least the old ones fit in and werent overly flashy. 2 thumbs down on the new ads.
