I was just trying to help. Maybe Google doesn't see the Lounge as much because of permissions. I have no idea how it handles that. The Lounge isn't as tangible as many other sites because it'* just text data being pulled out of a protected database and applied to a format. That info is probably safe here...

POP-UNDER! Adult friend finder, with nice big pictures off boobies all over it. And yes I have Pop-up blockers. I have no other sites open. It popped up ON THIS SITE, which I have listed as a trusted site. I guess those days are gone.

That'* the same EXACT thing I am/was thinking. If BC is such a giant money pit, why would someone buy it that has to worry about paying for their family/kids on top of the forum? Especially someone that has no interest in what the forum is about (I'm assuming this last statement and will edit this post to remove it if it is incorrect).

If I went out and bought a Bentley and worked at McDonald'* with a wife and kids to support, I'm sure my wife would NOT be pleased with me...... Especially if I had no interest in cars.

As it stands right now the ad color and the ads on the bottom of the page don't bother me that much (to be honest), but I'm worried about it getting worse if those new ads don't prove to be profitable. That is all I'm really concerned about.

I have no hostility at all towards the new owner, just some concerns over the future of what is currently a great site/tool/community.

Okay, seriously, all of the folks having problems like this: your computer is infested with malware. I can't imagine that the popups are a direct result of visiting this site, the malware on your computer is most likely bringing up these popup ads at random intervals as you browse the web.

As much as I hate the ads, I don't think that PTD would be so foolish as to lie about his method of advertisement distribution.

It'* really not that hard to write a program to listen for traffic on a specific port on your computer and react to it. I've never done it, but with my background could certainly do it and do it easily.

I suspect that some of those "other" sites you visit have left something behind.

The very moment I came to BC, I got another popup.

My other two popups happened immediately upon loading a thread or two. I never, ever, ever otherwise get popups on other sites. I'm sure other sites have popups, but I don't visit those. Something here is amiss.
