Default 94 silverado c1500 caliper bolt

I am trying to find the head size of the Front caliper mounting bolt on my 94 c1500. I have looked around a lil and each one seems to argue that it'* a torx bit and others say it'* an Allen and that it'* 3/8 I tried the 3\8 Allen socket and it was too big... Why couldn't they just use a hex head bolt like the rest

It'* probably a metric hex head.....

10mm allen/hex would be bigger than 3/8, so my guess would be 8mm....

I believe the bolt on my mom'* '95 Blazer was an 8mm hex head.

Different application yes, but it sounds good?

Mike, thinking about it, you might actually be right.....if the inside is rusted so bad, you might have to actually drive that 3/8'* in!
