Why do American cars always get bashed in magazines?

the motors in most cars are ideal for the application refering to weight,performance and over all the car is self wether i designed for a econ,or performance or luxury etc

so yes the 3800 has its grunt for the bonnie which i classifed as a luxury car for the most part
and a 4 banger in a 2500 pound car has its grunt for that application

can you see where im getting

I totally get what your saying. This is how the magazines should think. The 3800 is good in our cars, where a 4banger is a good in a Honda. Except they put down the 3800.

I can't figure out why Car & Driver says that the red lights look good in a BMW but "dated" in a Pontiac. :?
