I have a turbo 200 in my car, what fluid should i put in it. This guy at AutoZone told me to buy dex/merc.

So the dex/merc fluid the guy told me to buy is not the correct fluid?

There is much more to it then that, but Dex 6 is rated for most Dex/Merc applications, especially those of GM, it'* designed to have better cleaning and lubricating properties than Dex III/Mercon.

The parts guy told you right, to use what the manufacture recommends, but what we know is that Dex 6 does the job better.

It is the correct fluid, but Dexron 6 is better.

Have tried using Royal Purple Dexron 6 and I would say it made may tranny shift smoother. I believe its synthetic based.

Dex 6 is the recommended choice, though I tried Dex 3 before and got no problems.
