Depends...
Basic paint, about $2000. That usually involves only sand down to base coat, paint original color and clear coat.

If any body work needs to be done. Like rust or holes, the labor goes up higher.

If your changing colors, it goes higher.

If your car suffers from primer failure like mine did, expect the car to be stripped down to the metal and re-primed.

I paid around $300 just for primer, paint, and clear coat to do my car myself. And that was the cheapest supplies I could get.

If your looking at higher end colors, metallics, etc, expect to pay hundreds of dollars just for a quart of color.

Well, instead of spending all my money on a paint job, my dad works with someone who can do a good buff job for cheap, you think it'll help?

If the paint and clear is intact, it will help. But spots like the spoiler and front bumper are pretty much toast.

So, pretty much, Wait until I get some money, and just paint the whole car. But it wouldn't look bad if I went ahead and got a buff job? Another thing, why would the spoiler and bumpers fade more quickly than the rest of the car? And, do I need to worry about rust here in Florida?

depends where you live in florida. since florida is surrounded by water, you have the problem with salt in the air & all. when i lived in pensacola & went to the beach i hated the sand blowing against the car & the salt content on the ground is bad usually if you live by the water but if you are in the middle of the state, it shouldnt be that bad. the strong @$$ florida sun is the thing you really need to worry about lol
