I think with my 180* Stat and my Trans cooler i think it should be close to 180 or so. witch i dont think 5 or 10* is going or make it loose a lot of its pulling force :?

but from what i felt of the stock one. i think these are going to work way better.

I heard the stock one is not much of a magnet. Though I don't really know since apparently Canada doesn't use them. lol

I should have them by the 5th. I'm currently looking into a safe way to package these.

TO THOSE WHO ORDERED:

Am I safe to assume all the addresses from paypal are the ones I am shipping to?

John answered for everyone.

I just like to double-check after one screw up a long time ago.

And if the stock magnet doesn't even BEGIN to lose strength after, say, 220*? Then the other magnet would have already lost a certain percentage before the stock magnet has begun to lose it, possibly to the point that, at 220*F, the other magnet is weaker than stock. Hypothetical at best, and not much worth discussion without further hard numbers.

Also, knowing that the temperature of the transmission is usually hotter than the engine, and my engine is normally at 195*F, how is it you say that a temperature of 176*F is unlikely? 220* on the transmission is entirely possible.

A magnet on the outside of the pan will probably not see 175. But as you stated, we'll need evidence and testing. I'll be putting some on my pan tomorrow and will be testing some temps.

EDIT: I'm not sure what the stock magnets are like/what kind of magnet they are. But how do we know they don't lose some of their power before 220....210...? Sure they may stay stuck to the pan, but how efficient are the stock magnets on their own? Just some other thoughts. Does anyone know what the stock magnets are? Material? Adhesive?

I'll package them all in some kind of envelope. I don't have any small boxes.
