Decided to do part of my build early. I have a extra truck to drive and I have off work for the next week. Works for me.

After dealing with all the other stuff today, I started way later then I wanted to.

Got it all parked in the shop.


A little before shot.


Jacked it up real good and removed the wheel and splash guard.


Pulled the belts and then the power steering pump.


Put the jack under the engine


Removing the motor mount.


The pulley was in the way, so it came off.


A tight fit, but it'* out.


Need to modify the mount so the 8 rib pulley will fit.


Hope that'* enough


Harmonic balancer comes out now, I cheated and used the starter.


Now that was easy.


Pulling it out.


That'* gone. The 8 rib will go in in its place.


Removed the fuel lines.


Lots of room in here now.


More work tomorrow.

That was funny! Used the starter. Cheater. Oh well, it worked. Can't be as bad as me.

The HB bolt came off real easy. I heated it a bit, gave it a shot of penetrating, put the breaker bar in place and turned the key. Done.

I thought you already broke that HB bolt loose a little while ago? Or am I thinking something different?

That was on the other engine I have.

That'* what it was. What'* next on the list for tommorow?

Remove the top end, lower the engine and replace the cam.
