Default spent all day today...

Took off the front rotors, had them turned, rust painted them backup, touched up the calipers chipped paint, and rotated the tires. Took me all day to wait for this, do that, paint this, rotate that, jack this, jack that, drive here to pick up this, then go there to get that, all to basically endup where I started from........pulsating braking from 40 mph or more down!

Now I guess I'll have to do the rears to get rid of the pulsation since all the above did squat! Any suggestions anybody?

i know this may sound retarded, but i had some wicked brake pulsations and the other day i filled up my tires and my pass. front one was at 18 psi. filed it back up, and my pulsations went virtually away. i was just about to buy rotors too, and im so glad it saved me the $$$. just a thought.

Definitely not my problem, 2000 DIC has a tire pressure monitor that would chime like crazy if my tires were at 18 psi.

My rotors only had about 20k on them, that'* why I turned them. But may have to replace...I dunno???????

Oh ya baby those wheels all saw 100lb/ft on em in a star pattern.....Boosty made me make sure of that!!!!!

Have you done the back rotors at all yet, Brian? I had quite a vibration while braking, and found the inside of the driver'* side rotor pretty well pitted.

Off to the backs you go.

A pulsation could be at any wheel, it has always been more common to be a front with the amount of braking they do versus the backs...

But heck..I've warped rear drums before.

And I though this thread was going to say....."spent all day..................replacing the patio screen door that someone walked into at the last meet." wheeeeew , thank God for that.............
I assume the pulsing is in the brake pedal?
When you put the rotor back on the fronts, did you have a chance to turn(as if you were driving) the rotors slightly and see if it was grabing on the brake pads slightly. Obviously after you applied the brakes a few time to get the pads to seat against the rotors again.

Keep us posted Mr. Brianj
