My guess is that it isn't going to fail. It was redesigned for 99+ and they're much less likely to fail in those years..

Oh goody, I had my eye on this nice Buick Regal GS....only has 107 thousand miles and they want under six grand for it.

But I prefer to keep my car and drive it until the wheels fall off.

Hey Bill! I don't doubt you on that. But I do indeed drive fast (I just didn't get a chance to because my parents were in the car, remember NEBF? You should have told me that was going to happen and I would have left them behind)

it will last np. I was at 140k before I noticed any coolant loss.
Hit me up when you plan it, maybe I can swing over and lend a hand.

I (and this is just me) would just wait until you have the money, and then go ahead and replace it. I wouldn't rush it, but I wouldn't poke around either.

over 138,000 miles on mine and it'* original. No problems, but I've been thinking about replacing soon just to be safe.
