I'm staying on my parents plan since we get multiple car discount I'm not on full coverage right now because my cars totaled and I give my parents 50 a month for my plpd. Who knows I gotta give them a call.

I assume none of yours are full coverage then?

My GFs truck is more than mine (we assume) because it'* worth a lot more.

Bonneville is worth $8,500 clean @ 87k
Silverado is worth $14,500 clean @ 147k

That'* the only thing we can figure.

Well then that'* why your stuff is so cheap.

I haven't had liability only on a car since 2003.

they base full coverage based on the general use of a vehicle and the driver combined.
say a new silverado owned by a 30 something used for his work at a construction site would be double what the same truck would be with a guy the same age who works as an accountant would have to pay.

How do they do that? They didn't ask my girlfriend or me what we do for work. I fail to see how this is possible without asking for employment paystubs.

Every time I've applied for a quote, they asked me if I used it for work. If you say yes, they make you elaborate on what you do. If you click no and use it for work anyway and something happens on the job you not only won't be covered but you can get gnabbed with insurance fraud. (Curtosy of the bitchy lady at safe auto)

my 19 year old brother has that red silverado and his insurance alone is 1800 a year because of his age.
