Oh it could get out of its own way no problem. I floored it at 40mph, and the tires squealed lol. I would get the crew cab though. The normal extended cab was kinda small. It was about the same size as the Ranger in the back, which leaves no room for any speakers, and still be able to use it for anything else.

The 2004 came with the 3.5L I5, which made 220hp. That should still be pretty good in a truck that size. My Ranger only had 190ish, and It wasn't "slow."

those inline engines have a bunch of problems for carbon buildup and there are recalls for valve guides early wear and the recalls have mileage limits so if you go over the mileage before they wear out you are on your own for replacing the entire head. and if you get a used one you are just putting another poorly designed head on it.

mouse i like that av. thats probably what i would have if i had a job 10 or less miles away. i drove one a few times there was a guy i used to work with that had a couple but he didnt like to drive so i volunteered they ride like a big car, tons of room inside, toolboxes in the back, the back top is sealed so its like having a giant trunk.

I have to agree with y., most trucks, SUV'* and extended cabs in particular can sound very good. And those Yukon'* are sweet indeed.

I personally haven't seen a Colorado with an I5 that wasn't a POS. Get it with the 5.3L in it though, and it'll scoot real good from the lack of weight.

Won't do too good in snow for the same reason though. Had a S10 4x4 with the G80 locker in it and I still had to put sand bags in the bed during the winter.

If I didn't love my truck so much I'd offer to sell it to you, but I'm sure you can find something a lot like mine for a similar price. That one red one you posted is a good $2k-$3k under the retail value. So you were on the right track with it.
