Just got an E-mail from the Company.

Hi Paul,

I just wanted to be sure that you are familiar with the product you have purchased. The Pontiac decal overlay is a 1 3/4"x 8" transparency with picture of the bird in blue and the rest of the background in black. We usually sell them with a blue el lamp and inverter. When the decal overlay is stuck to the el lamp and is powered up by 12 volts the bright light shines through the bird making it illuminate blue at night. Like I said you can't do too much with the decal overlay without the el lamp so if you want to cancel your order let me know and I will credit your master card or if you want to purchase the el lamp and inverter it will be an additional $29.99. Either way please let me know.

Kindest Regards,
Raj
I just want to apply them like regular decals, so I think I'll forego the extra $$ for the lights. :?

I just cancelled my orders. :(

Our decal overlays are made to stick on top of the thin el lamps, the reason
we sell them separately is if the customer wants a different design
luminated he just peels off the old overlay and purchases a different
overlay and sticks it on top of the lamp ( there is no need to purchase an
additional el lamp). Please visit our product demo section on our web site
and click on the demonstration video clip
http://trimlight.com/images/gallery/clip2.mpg to get a better understanding.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Not interested in flashy lights but maybe some of you guys and gals are.

if you have a model with the 3rd brake lamp in the rear window, you could place the transparency over that, and it would light up red. what about that?

you could place the transparent sticker inside the window and against the lamp cover. that way, when you hit the brakes, it lights up.

My rear brake light is on the rear spoiler and I already have a "Pontiac" overlay.
Good suggestion though.
