Default Question for the Canucks....

Hey gang, I got a question for you guys up north....did your cars ever come with a "Weatherband" function? I read somehere on the 'net that some Canadian Pontiacs came with a cool feature called "Weatherband". Our gov't here has Weatherband (www.noaa.gov runs it) however very few cars have weatherband capable radios.

I was curious if you guys had it, and if so I am gonna buy a Canadian radio (if the Canadian/US weatherband frequencies are the same)

Yeah but you have to pay for XM radio. I'm wondering when someone will find out how to hack it.

I have XM in another car, and its OK...not impressed with its sound quality. Has good variety though.

OnTopic: Thanks for the info guys...

I'm not saying how to do it or asking how to, just wondering if it'* been done yet. So I'm safe.

Besides most stations are pretty good about getting alert messages out to the public.
