:o DAMN!!!!! That is is sweet! That wood dash even has the button for the heated windshield! That was an ULTRA RARE option! if i had $300 lying around everyone knows what i'd be buying!

From what I remember it was called 'Insta-clear' and worked like this. The layer where the laminate is was a clear film that heated up when current was applied to it. Basicly working like a rear window defroster but without any lines and cleared very quickly.

The down side is it was expensive, broke often and caused interference with cell phones, garage door openers and radar detectors.

The funny thing is I was just telling my wife about this over the weekend.
