well, walked over to the place, acted like i didnt know too much about cars <okay, kinda acted like a noob>. and found the following:
1988 Bonneville "SE" <i was like WTF too>
96k miles on the clock
has been repainted
drivers window doesnt work
passenger window fallen down off the tracks
front tires worn on the outside
AC doesnt blow cold
missing stereo
may have a slight lifter tick, or even a knock
gauges checked out fine
sporting the not Vin C motor <forgot what they called it>
they didnt know too much about the history of the car, and werent very honest either.
all for the low, low price of $1500, but if financed through their company, they would let ME have it for $1250
i still acted interested, but moved on to a 1988 gran prix. had a 2.8 liter v6 with 500k miles on it <yes, that is correct, 500k> that they also wanted $1500 out of. i told them i didnt have the money now <which i dont> and prolly wouldnt be able to do anything till payday. so, there she will stay. i will prolly save up $500, wave it in their face, and see if they still want $1500 for the bonneville. after all, it has been there for 3 months.

i would pass on that offer, some of those used car dealers are out to hose you big time, and its not right. Sounds like it could be on the edge of going if there is lifter tick or a knock at all, probably poor service history.
