1987 by the looks of it. what should i look at? what should i watch for? suggestions?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Just buy it..

If it has been a AZ car then it shouldn't be rusting. I'd look for hoses and things dry rotting. Check out whatever goodies and features it has... test drive if at all possible.

Oh yeah..

Try and open the back doors...the mechanisms are probably broken

87 is sortof the freak year. Totally different chassis wiring than the 88-90.

If it looks good, buy it, but definitely get a service manual for it.

small corner car lot near my house. been there for months. $550 is what he is asking. tempo is starting to give out.

Look closely at the milage.... If its at 80-120K make sure you ask if the timming chain has been replaced.... If not, you need to be prepared to get it replaced... The 87'* tend to jump time with high milage...
